About Titchfield Bonfire Boys Society

Titchfield Carnival, 125 years of Tradition from the Bonfire Boys

The TBBS was formed in the 1880s and, thanks to the many hundreds of hard working volunteers over the past 100 years or so, we have been able to provide one of the oldest and most successful yearly Carnivals in the country.

In the past the TBBS has also held the popular yearly Blues at the Abbey concert at Titchfield Abbey, which has not only helped to provide some much needed finance to fund the carnival, but has also raised thousands of pounds for local charities, organisations and good causes. Unfortunately in 2006, English Heritage made unacceptable financial demands on us and we had to abandon the event. Titchfield has lost a much-favoured local resource.

The TBBS simply cannot function without volunteers, so if you live in the local area and would like to help at any of the events we hold, or you would like to become a regular committee member, please contact us by email to titchfieldcarnival@hotmail.co.uk or by our message line on 07767 438 425. You can also write to us: drop your letter into the black post-box on the front of The Bugle Hotel in Titchfield Square.
